Building Timeline

2001

January 7

Submit Loan Application. to District Mission Board [DMB] and Real Estate Office [REO]

January 8-12

 Get basic site plan and building plan as finalized as
currently possible w/architect.

January 15-19

 Get with developer and receive their approval of our plans
- Meet with Madison City Departments to get feedback

January 21

-Congregation meeting- approve the basic design concept.
-Forward our plans to the Real Estate Office [REO], WELS Architectural Consultant, Board for Home Missions [BHM], DMB, and Builders for Christ [BFC].  Get feedback and make changes if needed.

-submit financial statements to the Church Extension Fund [CEF]

-sign contract with Architect Danny Osborn
-Have congregation approve and then send application to BFC.

Early February

 BHM Meeting- we receive planning authority and have our 5 year MPGA approved.

April

-23rd Builders for Christ [BFC] approves our application
-29th Early childhood education feasibility study is completed.

May

-We finalize our building plans [having considered the education feasibility study].

-We send our stuff to the REO for final review and approval.

-Loan applications and commitment letters are exchanged.  We make sure to have our 1% loan fee and down payment in our CEF for easy transfer upon approval.
-Get BFC committees going.

June

Working drawings are completed.  Sent in for review.

August

Project sent out to be bid.

2002

November 01- January 02

Permits received and Ground is broken and site prep/slab
pouring completed

Late June

 Congregation projects including kitchen, landscaping, and irrigation.

July

Occupy building. First service.
